Where Are We At

When you stop trying to impress your partner --- the negative-comfortable-type feeling starts and conversations cease to exist.

Early in a relationship, the quest of having to get-to-know each other gives us a feeling of mystery. We want that he or she will be interested. We cannot decide what clothes to wear, what top to match, If we smell good that one can smell you from across the room. Fixing the hair, making sure our breath smells good! Everything is...perfect!

So when does the "impressing" thing stops? We thrive that later on the relationship, we do not stop. But sadly it does.

There is a big difference between the comfortable silence and the type of silence where you are just at loss of things to talk about. There will come a point where you'll just be okay with looking at the television sets and sleep. Another day just ended. It will be the same routine the next day.

It doesn't need to be this hard right? This is the person you love and swore to spend the rest of your life with.
It shouldn't be much of a struggle. It should be a wonderful journey. And everyday we try...we always do.
