The One That Got Away...What If

At one point in our lives, we have that someone who we can call " The one that got away". Either at that time we just reduced it to the "We are not meant to be" box or the "For later" box. But for Claire, there is no such thing as "too late" when it comes to love. She wants her second chance at love. And yes, LOVE don't have an expiration date you know. Her only regret is...she waited...50 years for that matter.

Sophie, an American girl who is supposedly in "honeymoon" with his fiance, Victor, who in turn happened to be so engrossed with meeting suppliers for his new restaurant. So with the free time she got, she came across the "secretaries" of Juliet at Verona courtyards. She became intrigued of how this letters-business goes. Claire's letter of regret reached her hands and she had the urged to answer it. Being an inspired writer herself, she poured all her thoughts to that letter. After two weeks, Claire's grandson came looking for her, for the one who answered his grandma's letter. Then came the adventure of the search for the lost lover "Lorenzo". Their adventure gave us a great view of Italy and neighboring villas and vineyards. So scenic and so romantic!

Italy is definitely THE place to find love, go crazy and fall in love! And yes, amidst the circumstance, it was a happy ending. Just the way I like it! The girl can dream yes!

The catchy part? Of course, this movie review won't be finished without the would-be famous quote from the movie...the quote that made my heart skip a bit and made me shed a tear or two...again!

"What" and "If" are two words nonthreatening as words come. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: ‘What if?'..."

...But I know that if what you felt then was love - true love - then it's never too late. If it was true then it why wouldn't it be true now? You need only the courage to
follow your heart..."

"I don't know what a love like that feels like... a love to leave loved ones for, a love to cross oceans for... but I'd like to believe if I ever felt it. I'd have the courage to seize it. I hope you had the courage to seize it, Claire. And if you didn't, I hope one day that you
will."
