Please Don't Stop The Rain

For the second time...James Morrison got me...wow! big time. I was watching one episode of Private Practice and this was playing...what a message! I mean...really, I just can't tell you how much. Here are some of the lyrics...

Please Don't Stop The Rain

I don't know where I crossed the line
Was it something I said or didn't say this time?

And I don't know if its me or you
But I can see the skies are changing
No longer shades of blue
I don't know which way it's gonna go

If it's going to be a rainy day
There's nothing we can do to make it change
We can pray for a sunny weather
But that won't stop the rain

You're feeling like you've got no place to run
I can be your shelter 'till it's done
We can make this last forever
So please don't stop the rain

I thought that time was on our side
I've put in far too many years to let this pass us by

You see life is a crazy thing
There'll be good times and there'll be bad times
And everything in between
And I don't know which way it's gonna go

Oh we're a little closer now
In finding what life is all about
Yeah, I know you just can't stand it
When things don't go your way
But we've got no control over what happens anyway

For me, the first two lines are like things that I often hear from him. He ( you know who you are...) When the silent mode is turned on...wow...he would ask the exact same words!

"If it's going to be a rainy day...There's nothing we can do to make it change. We can pray for a sunny weather. But that won't stop the rain" ------ Rain here would mean problems or challenges and yes we can always pray for a sunny weather when everything is bad...but we have to know...things will get better. It wouldn't go away but yes, things do get better. You'll see and just believe that it does. It really does.

"You see life is a crazy thing. There'll be good times and there'll be bad times. And everything in between
And I don't know which way it's gonna go." ------- Marriage, perfectly defined. I like the line "everything in between", it just makes me smile. I like things in between the bad and the good times. Call me "sucker for pain". It's just that , when you are too happy, it's just not real. It's just not living but with pain, you know that you exist and you are feeling pain. I don't know if you get that. That is why when I am down, I can easily create a line or two and the next thing I know, I have composed a poem. It's easy to create it when sad...I don't know. I guess I am just differently wired. With too much happiness, it seems the fear of it not going to last, is hanging ...But of course, we cannot live like that. That is why when something is good, savor it. Make it last.

'Oh we're a little closer now. In finding what life is all about. Yeah, I know you just can't stand it
When things don't go your way But we've got no control over what happens anyway" ------ I can't stand it when things don't go my way, because it means we are not in control. We need tangible things. Things we can control. But life isn't that way...again, we have to think that things will get better. It will.

You and I...we do not have a song...this could be ours. Let's make it ours.

The Expendables --- THE Boys Are Back!

Oh yeah! The boys are definitely back! Although I must say, this is absolutely and obviously a Jason Statham action film and directed by no other than Sylvester Stallone. And the supporting actors are headed by the very cute, Jet Li. Not to mention the special appearance of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger ( who according to Stallone wants to be president!...of course, intended as humor) and Bruce Willis. Although both were uncredited on the movie. All star cast definitely! I wonder how much each was paid to guest star in this movie?

Guns...tattoos...Bombs...Knives...you name it, they've got it! Humor is there yes, thank God. Remarks made by Statham towards Stallone being too old for these things is hilarious!

I have always been a fan of Statham and Jet Li, the reason that I have persuaded hubby to watch the movie with me. I did enjoy it though, not bad really. I mean, I have watched worst movies before and this ain't one of them.

Will this movie marked Stallone's career in directing? We can just wait and see folks!

My Fortunate Accident

I might be years to late but I have finally found the intrigue feeling of watching "Serendipity". What struck me is that, for a person, Sarah to trust destiny is one thing. These days, people are more practical but sometimes we have to start believing in destiny...in fate all together.

Any person may think this is crazy...not normal at all! what is "living" when you have to put everything in fate?
It isn't living in the sense. If everything is some sort of massive master plan and that everything is laid out for us
out there...so what may become of DECISIONS...of making MISTAKES...of LIVING? Very utterly contradicting!

I used to believe in signs and that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents...tapestry of events and that everything is part of a sublime plan. But as I get older, knew better and get through life, I guess I tend to forget
that destiny is still hanging out there...revealing itself in so many ways imaginable...waiting for us to believe in it
once again.

I want to believe in fairytale...yes...so much that I want to hold on to this truth that as I go through life, I want
to believe that I already have... found my fortunate accident.

Understanding the Concept: Venus and Mars

Many guys will chatter in unison that they simply could not understand girls! And the girls, I am sure will nod their heads in agreement if I will say that we are not that complicated...simply misunderstood!

The thing is we simply want to be swept off our feet! The guys want everything in black and white. If you want flowers, then you have to say "I want you to give me a dozen red roses, wrapped in a fancy ribbon and with all the trimmings and you have to write the dedication on the card and not the florist."

In response, for us girls, the act of giving is not just for the mere sake of having to give something but the
thought that somebody is thinking of you right now, right this minute and that when he thinks of you, he thinks
that a dozen red roses is a perfect thing to give right now and that you will give anything just to see the smile
on our lips! Right? It wouldn't be a gift if we are to say what we want!

Guys might argue that they are not mind readers and that it is really hard to know what we want. Then there is
your problem guys, you do not know your girl! You did not pay attention! You need not be a mind reader or a psychic to know your girl...just have to pay attention to details. When she mentions something, just have to
jot that down and remember and it will come in handy ...
Paying attention is what it is.

Starting Somewhere

Finally, being able to share my thoughts with you is something that I looked forward to for a time now. Working for a company which its very foundation is about the internet and how creative you can be while being "present" in the world wide web is a big step for me.

My blog says it all. I just see myself differently wired. A simple saying for some is just is but for me...it means so much more. I do a lot of reading between-the-lines stuff and sometimes I tend to over-analyze ..yes..They say it it isn't always good but I do not want to miss a thing! Words are very powerful I might add.

I hope you join me in this journey. Sometimes, it's the journey and not the destination that matters. Living in the NOW now! Enjoy!
